- Garrett Anstreicher, assistant professor of economics, had his team's working paper on "The Long Run Impacts of Court-Ordered Desegregation" cited in the 2025 Economic Report Card of the President, released Jan. 10, in the section on structural challenges and disparities in education outcomes after the pandemic. - Natalie Chisam, assistant professor of marketing, had her research "Network Centrality and Firm Performance: A Meta-Analysis" published recently in the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science. In it, she and her co-authors investigate how a company's network relationships, like those with partners and suppliers, influence its success. Read the research abstract.

Competitions
- For the third consecutive year, supply chain management students from Nebraska College of Business captured first place in the national Specialty Tool and Fastener Distributor Association (STAFDA) business competition. Selected to compete along with students from across the U.S., nine Huskers traveled to Nashville, Tennessee, with supply chain management majors Dylan Kluthe and Hannah Pham from Lincoln, Nebraska, and Jia Xien Tee from Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia, named champions. Senior Phuong Hanh Nguyen, supply chain management major from Haiphong, Vietnam, won second place with her team. Senior supply chain management majors Alessandro Boykin from Bedford, Texas, and Charney Burg from Valencia, Pennsylvania, earned third place, and Majid Al Harthy from Muscat, Oman, finished fourth. Nguyen and Al Harthy were a part of Nebraska's championship team last year. Read about their experience.

- Dean Kathy Farrell and college alum Doug Lienemann, '78, appeared on the Grow Lincoln radio show in Lincoln, talking about the Lienemann Charitable Foundation's recent $1.5 million gift to the College of Business that will support faculty research, student programs and competitions and more. - Jennifer Davidson, associate professor of practice in economics, Nebraska Council on Economic Education president and Nebraska Bankers Association Faculty Fellow, Nebraska Council on Economic Education president and Nebraska Bankers Association Faculty Fellow, shared personal finance tips on 1011 News tips. This month, she encouraged including your finances in New Year's resolutions planning. Watch the 1011 interview video.

- Mikki Sandin, assistant director of professional and life skills in the Business Career Center in the Business Career Center and advisor to international student organizations at the university, appeared on the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce podcast sharing about employment options and opportunities for international students. - The Nebraska Council on Economic Education launched a podcast called Econ is Life that will discuss national economics topics in an accessible and clear way for the general public. Their first few episodes hosted by Jennifer Davidson and introduced by Matthew Pierson, associate director of Nebraska Council on Economic Education, are available now, covering topics such as inflation, international trade, banks and more.
