On-campus transfer students are admitted to the College of Business if they earned a 2.5 cumulative GPA at Nebraska. No additional applications are needed.

Transfer Students

Transferring to the Nebraska College of Business is easy. From transferring credits to transfer student resources, let us help you make it a smooth transition.

If you meet University Admissions requirements and earned a 2.5 cumulative transfer GPA, you are directly admitted into the College of Business.

Find out how your previous credit hours transfer to Nebraska by using the Transferology website linked below. You can talk or email with a College of Business academic advisor to discuss your transfer credit and the college’s transfer credit policies. A maximum 60 hours of transfer credit is allowed from community colleges and international institutions.

Inclusive Business Leaders is a cohort-based program of first-year business students who demonstrate a commitment to making Nebraska Business and the field of business amore inclusive environment for all. In addition to receiving a $1,000 scholarship, these students participate in monthly activities and have an opportunity to create meaningful relationships with faculty and staff, college leadership and business professionals in a variety of fields.

Business Learning Communities

A first-year learning community offers a great way for you to make the most of your first year at Nebraska. In addition to living with other students who share similar academic and career interests, you enroll in some of the same classes and have access to an upper class student mentor and work with a staff sponsor. To apply, you must complete your Housing Contract no later than May 1.

Day In The Husker Life

Matthew Ringler, an actuarial science major, virtually interns with Humana and continues to work on Actuarial Science Club projects. He talks to Dr. Kathy Farrell during her Dean's Office Hours and spends time with his family in Texas.

During the COVID-19 quarantine, Emily Kist, a finance major, works remotely from home at her internship with Nelnet. She also manages the finances for Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity and relaxes in hammocks on campus with her friends.

Hoai Vu, a business administration major, goes to a #Nebrasketball game, works a shift at the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center and spends a night out in Lincoln with his friends.

Terry Arvie II, an accounting major, makes his day count. From recharging between classes at the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center to sharing his favorite cereal, you’ll enjoy hanging with Terry in his room in the Knoll Residential Center and across campus.
