At two University of Nebraska–Lincoln Commencement ceremonies at Pinnacle Bank Arena and Memorial Stadium this weekend, nearly 760 business students will receive their degrees and become the newest Husker alumni. Doctoral and master's degrees will be awarded at the Graduate Commencement at 3 p.m., Friday, May 17, in Pinnacle Bank Arena, and bachelor's degrees will be conferred at 9 a.m., Saturday, May 18, in Memorial Stadium. After 45 years of service in higher education, Janet Near, associate dean of faculty and research, Howard L. Hawks Chair in Business Ethics and Leadership and professor of management at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, retires in May.
