Online MBA Program Ranked Sixth in U.S. News & World Report

The online MBA program at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Business Administration jumped 11 spots to sixth overall in the 2014 U.S. News & World Report Best Online Graduate Business Programs. Released January 8, the report ranked 172 programs which included four current or future Big Ten programs.

Dr. Donde Ashmos Plowman, James Jr. and Susan Stuart Endowed Dean of the College of Business Administration, said, “This recognition for our online MBA program is really significant. The world is noticing the outstanding quality of our business programs at UNL.”

Programs offering a master's in business/MBA program through Internet-based distance education courses were surveyed in the summer of 2013. The results were based on a weighted average of indicators including student engagement, admissions selectivity, peer reputation, faculty credentials and training, and student services and technology. GMAT scores, GPA and graduation rates were measured within the indicators.

CBA’s traditional MBA curriculum is available on-campus and online. The online delivery allows the working professional the opportunity to participate in an internationally recognized program from anywhere in the world.

The MBA program at UNL made the biggest move into the top 10, up 11 spots from 2013. It also ranked second in the Big Ten for the second consecutive year. Indiana University-Bloomington (Kelley) is first overall in the rankings while the Pennsylvania State University-World Campus (17th overall) and Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey (27th overall), are also ranked.
