Last year, Web of Science, an online scientific citation indexing service, named Dr. Fred Luthans, University and George Holmes Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Management, to the “Top 1% Citations” list of researchers around the world in all fields. It’s hard to believe summer is almost over and another academic year starts August 20. We are excited to welcome our new and returning students back to campus and also meet their parents, alumni and friends of the college. We spent the summer hosting high school programs about business, polishing our soon-to-be-released strategic plan and preparing for a new semester. We also admitted our first students into our two new online master’s degree programs in finance and business analytics and hired some amazing new faculty and staff to support our programs in the college. » Full Article

After a week of preparation, building leadership and networking skills at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, 39 rising high school seniors culminated their DREAMBIG Academy experience by pitching their innovative ideas in a “Shark Tank”-style format. Standing out from a highly competitive applicant pool, Ann Pogrebitskiy earned the top 2018 Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) Trust Scholarship, making her the first University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Business student to earn the prestigious scholarship.
