The University of Nebraska–Lincoln online Master of Science in Supply Chain Management ranked No. 14 in the nation for best online master’s in supply chain management and logistics programs for 2025, according to SupplyChainGuide.org.

The ranking recognized 21 standout schools from more than 110 institutions offering accredited online supply chain programs nationwide. Factors considered included AACSB accreditation, student outcomes, debt levels and post-graduation career success.

“Our Nebraska M.S. in Supply Chain Management program is designed to meet the needs of working professionals while maintaining the academic rigor and depth required in this highly competitive field,” said Özgür Araz, chair of the Department of Supply Chain Management and Analytics. “Being included in this ranking highlights our flexible program offered in eight-week courses, so students can choose to complete the program in as quickly as five semesters or take one course at a time.”

The 30-credit-hour program prepares students to address complex global supply chain challenges and equips them for leadership roles in industries such as manufacturing, transportation, sourcing and operations consulting. Courses combine foundational concepts with innovative tools and are taught by faculty who bring expertise from both research and real-world industry experience.

"The program’s success stems from a combination of dedicated faculty and a curriculum that blends rigor with flexibility. With supply chain management playing a vital role in global business resilience and expansion, our graduates are well-positioned for success," Araz said.

According to the Association for Supply Chain Management Supply Chain Salary and Career Survey Report, the median salary for professionals in the field was $113,300 in 2023. Students in the program also have access to one-on-one career coaching and career services ranked No. 5 in the world by the Financial Times.

The program offers three admission deadlines each year—Nov. 1, April 1 and July 1—and one flat tuition rate for all students, regardless of residency.

Students not ready to pursue a master’s degree may start with one of Nebraska’s online graduate certificate programs in supply chain management, supply chain analytics or business analytics. Each certificate requires four eight-week courses, and credits can be applied toward the full master’s program.

Nebraska also offers an on-campus undergraduate degree in supply chain management and a minor for College of Business students.

“Supply chain management is a driver of innovation and resilience across industries,” Araz said. “This ranking confirms Nebraska’s role in preparing the leaders who will shape that future.”
