Biography

Jeff Sherrill is the Director for Information Technology at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln's College of Business. His responsibility is to oversee the IT team which supports and implements new technology used by faculty, staff and students. In his role, Jeff regularly partners and collaborates with a wide variety of people to ensure that the technology is in place to enable the College of Business to meet its research and instructional objectives. This has resulted in new offerings, services, and technology to be introduced to the college's stakeholders impacting thousands. Jeff continues to work to try and forecast what new technologies and trends are available and discover ways to best implement them for the benefit of the stakeholders of Nebraska Business.

Since 2009, Jeff has been working in the technology field, coming to the College of Business from a large mobile technology company. His expertise ranges from incident response, hardware, networking, infrastructure, training, and information security. Jeff is a life long learner of technology having pursued a number of certifications and courses to expand his knowledge of the IT field. His wide expertise proved valuable during the Howard L. Hawks building construction where he was responsible for selecting, purchasing and coordinating the implementation and installation of much of the technology being used today.
