At the University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Business, the faculty, staff, alumni, students, business partners and friends believe in the power of bold beginnings. Students start something every day by launching ventures, leading change and challenging the status quo. That same spirit has fueled the Only in Nebraska campaign.
“Nebraska Business has always been a place where people Start Something meaningful with courage, creativity and commitment. Through the Only in Nebraska campaign, we’ve seen that same energy in our donors and community. Now is the time to Finish Something powerful. Let’s complete this campaign with the same drive that defines our college. Every gift brings us closer to a future full of possibility for our students, our faculty and our state,” said Lisa, '90, and Tom Smith, '68, College of Business Campaign Co-Chairs.
Because of the unwavering support of alumni, friends, and partners, the college has made incredible strides to empower individuals and teams to lead the future of business:
- More than 5,618 unique donors have contributed to the College of Business during our campaign.
- 12 new or enhanced endowed faculty positions are helping recruit and retain world-class faculty, including Early Career Award Recipient Danny Tannenbaum, Ph.D.
- 89 new scholarships have been created to support our largest freshman class in college history.
- Other additional strategic priorities being supported include the Clifton Strengths Institute, Center for Entrepreneurship and Teaching and Learning Center, among others.
"The Only in Nebraska campaign is more than a fundraising effort," said Kathy Farrell, James Jr. and Susan Stuart Endowed Dean of the College of Business. "It’s a movement to secure the future of business education in our state. Let’s finish what we started, together."
Support the future and finish strong with Nebraska Business.
