The University of Nebraska–Lincoln online MBA program, known as MBA@Nebraska, achieved a consecutive Top 10 placement in
Poets&Quants annual ranking of online MBA programs. Nebraska ranked No. 9 in the nation and No. 2 in the Big Ten.
Dr. Jake Messersmith, executive director of Business Graduate Programs, believes the ranking continues to place Nebraska among the elite of online MBA educators. He takes pride in seeing the rankings coincide with MBA@Nebraska graduates’ success in their careers.
“We are honored to once again be recognized by
Poets&Quants as a top-ranked online MBA program. We are particularly excited about this ranking as it emphasizes both the satisfaction and career success of our alumni. We are committed to providing our students an excellent return on investment and it’s gratifying to see this happening for our graduates,” said Messersmith.
Earlier this year, the MBA@Nebraska ranked third in the Big Ten for veterans by
U.S. News & World Report. The Princeton Review ranked the online MBA program No. 17 overall for 2019.
Poets&Quants sent surveys to schools and asked them to allow additional surveys of graduates from online programs. Three categories were equally weighted and used to compile the rankings including admissions standards, academic experience and career outcomes.
The academic experience and career outcomes categories are based on alumni surveys from the most recent graduating classes. Admission standards are based on school-reported data for students enrolling during the 2018-19 academic year.
“This third annual ranking is a tighter, more competitive grouping than we have seen,” said Nathan Allen,
Poets&Quants special projects editor. “The result is a dynamically changing landscape of the top programs as we see innovation, pricing and customization all factor in to the quality of a program.”
