College of Business faculty, staff and students recognized for recent achievements include Joel Beckwith, Dr. Uchechukwu Jarrett, Dr. Alok Kumar, Kee En (Jony) Lim, Micah Lindblad, Dr. Amit Saini and Dr. Eric Thompson.
  • Joel Beckwith, sophomore Nebraska Business Honors Academy student majoring in finance and marketing from Valencia, California, led a successful campaign and was elected Phi Beta Lambda’s Mountain Plains Vice President. Beckwith ran his campaign at the Phi Beta Lambda National Leadership Conference, where he gave a speech to those in attendance.
  • Dr. Alok Kumar, associate professor of marketing and W. W. Marshall College Professor, and Dr. Amit Saini, associate professor of marketing and W. W. Marshall College Professor, recently had their research published in the Journal of Marketing. Titled “Marketing Channel Management by Multinational Corporations in Foreign Markets,” Saini, Kumar and their co-authors – Dr. Rajdeep Grewal of the University of North Carolina, Dr. F. Robert Dwyer of the University of Cincinnati and Dr. Robert Dahlstrom of Miami University– share insight into multinational corporations (MNCs) and their complexities. The authors propose an organizing framework to spur and guide research on MNC management

  • Toastmasters International recognized the University of Nebraska–Lincoln for enhancing student and employee engagement through continuing support of the Toastmasters communication and leadership programs. Kee En (Jony) Lim, junior actuarial science and economics major from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and president of the Nebraska Union Toastmasters, accepted the award on behalf of the two Toastmasters clubs at Nebraska. Nebraska was recognized for being one of the first universities to integrate Toastmasters programs as options to fulfill academic requirements in certain programs such as the Nebraska Business Honors Academy. 
  • The Lincoln Young Professionals Group recognized Micah Lindblad, career coach at the Business Career Center, as the July YP Champion of the Month.
