Botan Çıtıl is an Assistant Professor of Practice in Supply Chain Management and Analytics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His expertise is in Operations Management, particularly at the intersection of mathematical optimization and data analytics methodologies. 

Dr. Çıtıl previously earned the Outstanding Operations Management Graduate Instructor Award for two consecutive years: 2021 and 2022. This award was issued by the Department of Information Systems, Statistics & Management Science at the University of Alabama. While there, he taught courses including System Simulation (OM 540), Introduction to Operations Management (OM 300), and Introduction to Management Science (OM 310). At the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, he currently teaches Predictive Analytics (SCMA 451), Decision Making Models (SCMA 335), and Business Analytics (SCMA 350) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He also brings industry expertise from renowned companies like Bosch Siemens Hausgeräte and Denizbank.

Dr. Çıtıl's research primarily addresses the intersection of mathematical optimization and advanced analytics. His work includes characterizing stability regions in L1 regression; and developing exact decomposition algorithms to optimize strategies in the Capacitated Joint Replenishment Problem.
