Shilpa earned an MBA in Marketing Analytics from Oklahoma State University. She also has a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science) from Osmania University, India. Prior to joining the MBA program, Shilpa worked in the industry for ~7 years in various capacities, as an IT programmer, consultant, and analyst. Her research interests are in broader areas of marketing strategy. Through her dissertation, she is seeking to understand the influence of marketing alliances and top management teams on a company’s market performance.

Applications are in the areas of customer value assessment, segmentation, targeting, brand positioning, new product development, and resource allocation.
