New My Degree Audit Tool Now Available to Students

The academic advisers in the UNL College of Business Administration are excited about the new My Degree Audit tool which replaces the Degree Audit Reporting System (DARS).

“My Degree Audit is a computer generated report outlining your undergraduate academic progress. Using this audit process will facilitate a richer experience between the student and their adviser as they make important academic decisions,” said William Watts, director of campus advising.

The benefits of using My Degree Audit include:

  • Providing better customer service with red and green guides throughout the process
  • Allowing you to explore alternative degree options and see an updated plan immediately
  • Giving you two options to view the audit with your adviser:
o   Print a PDF form to take with you when you meet

o   Use the HTML version online so you can see descriptions, prerequisites and more

“The new degree audit is great and really helps you visually see where you are at with your degree requirements,” said Justine Bolton, a sophomore in the College of Education and Human Sciences. “I am excited for the select program or ‘what if’ option that allowed me to see what my degree audit would look like if I decided to switch majors. Also the ability to see course descriptions straight from the audit is a huge help when picking courses to take. Overall the new system will make things easier.”

To view your degree audit, sign in to MyRED and click “Degree Audit” under the “Records” tab. The My Degree Audit does not replace the Undergraduate Bulletin as a resource for requirements. Priority registration for the Fall 2013 semester is March 25-April 9. Call 402-472-2310 to schedule an appointment with your CBA academic adviser.
