An app developed by University of Nebraska–Lincoln undergraduates may help local restaurants and small shops feeling the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Luke Bogus and Jacob Peddicord, students in the Jeffrey S. Raikes School of Computer Science and Management, are creators of Brim, a mobile ordering app that is compatible with any business that uses the payment system Square.

Reid Brost came to Nebraska Business from Rapid City, South Dakota, with an underlying goal to challenge himself and make his education matter by using his experiences to help others. Omaha native and University of Nebraska–Lincoln senior Luke Pavel transferred to Nebraska from a small college to complete a degree in advertising and public relations. Pavel, looking for a way to expand his skill set, added a business minor to round out his experience. Once he started taking classes, he opted to add a business minor after talking to his academic advisor. The business minor for non-business majors, offered by the College of Business, is open to all students at Nebraska. The 18-credit-hour minor provides a critical overview in areas such as accounting, business law, economics, finance, marketing and management. » Full Article

After 98 years, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Business Administration is dropping the administration.

Not its internal administration, of course – the word at the end of the college’s name. The Board of Regents approved changing the name to the College of Business on March 31.
