
Future of Nebraska Scholarship
The Future of Nebraska Scholarship program recognizes high school seniors in Nebraska who demonstrate potential to lead the future and encourages them to make an impact on their state. Examples of leadership potential include starting their own small business, participating in extracurricular activities, leading a volunteer effort or giving back to their community.
Recipients will receive a $3,000 scholarship to be used at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Business their first year.
Eligibility Requirements
Students must:
Plan to graduate from high school in the fall of 2025 or spring of 2026
Have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and be admitted to the University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Business for fall 2026
Be a Nebraska resident
New students can be directly admitted into these College of Business majors: Accounting, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Business and Law, Economics, Finance, International Business, Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain Management. Apply for this scholarship by December 1.
Recipients will be notified mid-February.

How much is this scholarship?
$3,000.
How many scholarships will be granted?
Six students a year will receive a Future of Nebraska scholarship.
When do I find out if I received the scholarship?
You will receive the notification that you received the scholarship via the university's scholarship notification email sent on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. If you don't see Future of Nebraska on that email, it is still possible you may still be considered as others accept/deny the scholarship.
Do I have to be admitted to the University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Business before I apply for this scholarship?
You need to have applied for admission. You do not need to wait until you get your acceptance to apply for this scholarship.
Is there any preference for entries that answer the essay questions either by video or writing?
No. You can choose your method based on your strengths and creativity.
What do you do with the videos/essays after the fact?
Scholarship recipients' materials may be used to further promote this scholarship and/or to tell the students' experience at the university.
