Lincoln Startup Weekend, January 25-27, 2019

Open to Students and Community Members

Lincoln Startup Weekend is a 54-hour event, where attendees pitch ideas, form teams and start companies. These events are very community focused and provide a place for budding entrepreneurs to find co-founders, mentors and momentum for their ideas.

This event is open to anyone and everyone who want to further develop their idea for an entrepreneurial venture as well as those who may lack the “idea” but have skills, talent and the interest in making a contribution as a team member.

Register by Friday, January 11 to get a free t-shirt!

How The Weekend Works

The weekend is all centered on action, innovation and education. Beginning with Friday night pitches and continuing through testing, business model development, and basic prototype creation, Startup Weekend culminates in Sunday night demos to a panel of potential investors and local entrepreneurs. Participants are challenged with building functional startups during the event and are able to collaborate with like-minded individuals outside of their daily networks. Mentors and coaches will be available throughout the weekend to offer their functional expertise.

The weekend kicks off at 5 p.m. on January 25 with dinner and networking. The Sunday night presentations and awards begin at 5 p.m.

The event will take place at FUSE Coworking, located at 151 N. 8th Street. The nearest city parking garage is the Haymarket Garage at 9th and Q streets.
