2026 Nebraska Ledger
This year has been defined by meaningful growth and impact. Across the College of Business, enrollment reached record levels. We saw continued strength in accounting, with notable growth among both undergraduate majors and first-year students. Our Master of Professional Accountancy (MPA) program also continues to expand, reflecting the strong demand for a Nebraska accounting degree.

A new, innovative accounting course called Research and Communication in Accounting (ACCT 455) merges business and improv to prepare future accountants for the ever-changing industry. Through writing, research and improvisational techniques and tools, students are equipped with increased confidence, effective communication and collaborative teamwork to thrive as future leaders.

Nebraska Earns IMA Endorsement
The School of Accountancy was endorsed by IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants), one of the largest and most respected associations focused exclusively on advancing the management accounting profession. By meeting their educational standards, students can pursue the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) credential and careers in private and public accounting.
