Warren Buffett Shares Excitement of Go Big Grad
A special commencement held Dec. 19, featured Warren Buffett, '51, who joined in on the virtual celebrations recognizing the accomplishments of more than 1,400 University of Nebraska–Lincoln students who received their degrees.

Billionaire investor, philanthropist and Husker alumnus Warren Buffett, ’51, shared his insight during “Go Big Grad: A Graduation Celebration” held Dec. 19. During the celebration, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln conferred 1,404 degrees to students and the Chancellor talked to Buffett in a pre-recorded phone conversation. Buffett, who rarely grants interviews, gave graduates advice on finding the right career, becoming lifelong learners and achieving meaningful success.
