University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Business students made it matter last fall semester as 1,385 of them earned placement on the Dean’s List. The honor comes in the midst of a global pandemic, which pushed business students to discover new ways to engage and learn.

Within the College of Business, 1,269 undergraduates from all 10 business majors received recognition on the list, with nearly one in every four undergraduate students achieving the honor. Of those who made the Dean's List, 313 earned a 4.0 grade-point average. Additionally, 116 business graduate students earned accolades, with 57 also achieving a 4.0 GPA.

“Having such a high number of students on the Dean’s List serves as a testament to our students’ resilience and commitment to academic excellence,” said Dr. Kathy Farrell, James Jr. and Susan Stuart Endowed Dean of the College of Business. “I commend them on this accomplishment and also am encouraged, as our students continue to adapt during the pandemic while they develop to become future business leaders.” 

Eligibility requirements for undergraduates on the Dean’s List include earning a cumulative 3.6 GPA or higher and completing 12 or more graded credit hours for the semester.

Graduate students on the Dean's List finished the semester with a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher and completed nine or more credit hours. Students enrolled in the MBA@Nebraska, Master of Arts in Business with a Specialization in Intercollegiate Athletics Administration (MAIAA), Master of Science in Actuarial Science, Master of Science in Business Analytics, Master of Science in Finance and Master of Professional Accountancy are eligible to receive the distinction.
