Don Clifton’s Legacy
A popular professor of education psychology and researcher examining strengths at Nebraska, Dr. Donald O. Clifton is recognized as the Father of Strengths-Based Psychology and Grandfather of Positive Psychology. He was chairman of Selection Research Inc. and later chairman of Gallup. His research led to the CliftonStrengths® assessment.
His passion was centered around the question, “What will happen when we think about what is right with people rather than fixating on what is wrong with them?”
