Compete to Win Cash Prizes and Represent Nebraska at Regional Challenge

Thank you for your interest in representing Nebraska at the 2024 Tenaska Business Challenge. The College of Business will hold a case competition exclusively for Nebraska's students on February 9, 2024 to select two teams that will represent the university at the regional Tenaska Business Challenge against other universities.

Important Information

The 2024 UNL Tenaska Business Challenge kicks off on Monday, January 29, and submissions are due via Canvas Sunday, February 4. Judges will review all submissions and announce the top 9 teams on Wednesday, February 7 to present in-person on Friday, February 9. The top 3 teams identified on February 9 qualify for cash prizes.

The two top-performing teams will represent the University of Nebraska–Lincoln at the 2024 regional Tenaska Business Challenge to compete against other universities, held February 22-23 in Lincoln, for opportunity to compete for additional cash prizes. The third-place team will serve as the alternate team.

Who Can Participate?

Teams of three to four UNL undergraduate students, across any major.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I sign up? You can sign up as a team or an individual. Visit the registration link at the top of the page to get started. Participation is free and email Kasey Linde with any questions.
Do I have to find my own teammates? You can enter as a team or as an individual. If entering as an individual, you will be placed into a team prior to the start of competition, and we will notify/connect you all.
Can I compete if I'm not a College of Business student or in any business classes? You do not have to be a College of Business student to compete.
Will the competition be online or in-person? You will submit your initial presentation online as a video. If selected as a top 10 team, you will then present in-person on February 9 at the College of Business.
If we win, how do we receive the prize money? Winners are paid via check to your student account. The prize money is split evenly among team members. Please let us know via email if you are a student-athlete prior to participation.
