Dr. Theresa Welbourne Headlines Second Executive Power Lunch

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Business Administration will host its second Executive Power Lunch on Friday, Nov. 1 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Wick Alumni Center, 1520 R Street. Dr. Theresa Welbourne, FirsTier Banks Distinguished Professor of Business and director of the Center for Entrepreneurship, will discuss the “Secrets to Growth: Lessons from Businesses Alive and Dead.” 
 
“The College of Business Administration is home to world-class faculty conducting research that is shaping the conversation about how to lead and create success in the dynamic world of business. They are often asked to speak nationally and internationally on their work, and these Executive Education Power Lunches gives the Lincoln community the opportunity to learn from our faculty,” said Dr. Donde Plowman, James Jr. and Susan Stuart Endowed Dean of the College of Business Administration.
 
Welbourne runs several large research projects focused on developing interventions to improve organizational performance through people. Her work includes breakthrough thinking about employee engagement, based on data from large-scale, multi-firm, longitudinal studies on the predictors of firm growth and the role of employee energy in driving change. She works with a range of organizations through her research on the leadership pulse and the focused case study work. Welbourne has extensive experience with smaller, high growth organizations and with large, global Fortune 100 and FTSE 500 businesses in a variety of industries.
