Nicholas is a PhD candidate in Accounting seeking a tenure-track position in the academic year 2023-2024. As part of his research, he is interested in identifying executive characteristics and subsequent reporting patterns by analyzing archival data. In his dissertation, Nick examines the effects of subconscious decision-making patterns on a shorter compensatory period. He is also researching CEO decisions relating to foreign currency reporting, as well as the impact of accounting regulations and standards on financial reporting. Nick specializes in teaching classes related to Financial Accounting and Reporting, including introductory accounting courses and intermediate accounting courses.
Prior to pursuing a PhD at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, Nick earned a master's degree from the University of Connecticut and a bachelor's degree from Utah State University. As a Certified Public Accountant, Nick worked in alternative investments, concentrating on real estate development, real estate investment trusts, and fund accounting. In his spare time, Nick enjoys traveling and exploring the outdoors with his family.
