Biography

Creative and adaptive empath that thrives when connecting with people and determining the best way of presenting their past stories to direct their own futures. Recently finished my M.Ed. in College Student Personnel and have begun my career in higher education as a career coach at UNL's Business Career Center. My passion within higher education is helping students understand their options and paint their big picture goals. As someone who made a big career change from animation to student affairs shortly after finishing undergrad, I hope to leverage my experience navigating my own path to enhance business students' career journeys and reaching their aspirations.

I come from a creative background - I have a Bachelor's in Games and Animation and the skills I learned from this area of my life have translated well into my current work, in terms of being able to connect with others quickly, having genuine and meaningful conversations, and making sense of more abstract challenges. I am eager to learn more and explore other ways I can integrate these passions, especially since the outcomes lead to promoting student success.
