Bret is a Ph.D. Candidate in Accounting. His research interests include using an experimental methodology to examine management control system design and its effects on the judgment and decision-making of employees, managers, and investors. His teaching interests cover broad areas in accounting that include Principles of Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I and II, Managerial/Cost Accounting, and Accounting Information Systems courses.
Before entering the Ph.D. program at UNL, Bret earned his M.S. (Accounting & Finance) and B.S. (Accounting) from Minnesota State University Moorhead. He is a licensed CPA and CMA with four years of public and private accounting experience.
