My junior year of college I spent fall semester in Pau, France studying intensive French and my spring semester in Rabat, Morocco studying culture, politics, and Arabic. After graduation I worked with the Teaching Assistantship Program in France (TAPIF) in Perpignan, France for a year as an English Teaching Assistant with middle and high school classes. When my contract was up I got to do some solo travel through Turkey, Jordan, Palestine, and Israel, which is a highlight of my life. I then received a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant grant to teach English at Ibn Tofail University in Kenitra, Morocco. These experiences solidified my desire to join the international education field.

Between my time working abroad I served as an AmeriCorps member for two years with College Possible and managed multiple Crane Coffeehouses in my hometown, Omaha, Nebraska. I’ve worked as an Office Assistant with Education Abroad at the University of Nebraska, Omaha, completed a graduate practicum with the University of Riverside, California, and served in multiple leadership roles during my graduate experience before beginning at UNL in August 2021. Inspired by experiential learning through intercultural communication, global experiences, and diversity & inclusion, my life to date has energized me to be a social justice advocate in all aspects of my life.

In other fun facts on me, I love being in the outdoors with family and friends, reading, eating, and spending time with my sister's cat, Murphy.
