MBA@Nebraska Ranked in Top Eight for the Second Year
Nebraska Named #8 Best Online MBA Program by Princeton Review
The Princeton Review® ranked the MBA@Nebraska program #8 in the nation. The Top 50 Online MBA Programs for 2023 were selected based on data from surveys completed by administrators at over 150 business schools offering online MBAs and more than 9,000 students enrolled in online MBA programs across the nation.

The Princeton Review® named the University of Nebraska–Lincoln online MBA program – called MBA@Nebraska – one of the nation’s most outstanding online MBA programs. The MBA@Nebraska program earned the #8 spot in the education services company’s list of Top 50 Online MBA Programs for 2023.

This is the fifth consecutive year Nebraska’s program placed in the ranking's top 20 and the second consecutive year in the top eight.

“The Princeton Review ranking shows that our MBA@Nebraska program has a great reputation for its academics and career outcomes. The competitive cost of the program makes it not only a great value but also widely accessible, which is critical to our university’s mission,” said Aaron Crabtree, associate dean of master's programs and executive development, KPMG Faculty Fellow in Professional Accounting and associate professor of accountancy.

Compared with the other programs in the list's top 10, the MBA@Nebraska program offers the best value for the money with tuition and fees totaling less than $32,000. In comparison, the average tuition of the top 10 programs totals $86,077.

“Many students share how they reap the benefits of their MBA while still enrolled by applying what they learn at work. Our students report a high return of investment from earning their MBA@Nebraska,” said Gretchen Holthaus, director of MBA and online graduate programs.

MBA@Nebraska alumni reported a 33% salary increase to Financial Times for its 2022 ranking, and a recent survey conducted by the Graduate Management Admissions Council™ (GMAC) showed the program's graduates earned approximately $26,000 more in their annual salaries after earning their degree, which is nearly the full cost of the MBA@Nebraska program.

The Princeton Review editors chose the 50 programs based on data from surveys of administrators at more than 150 business schools. Factoring in data from surveys of more than 9,600 students enrolled in online MBA programs, the company weighted more than 60 data points with criteria focused on five core areas: academics, selectivity, faculty, technical platforms and career outcomes.

“We strongly recommend the MBA@Nebraska program as an outstanding choice for anyone aspiring to earn an MBA online,” said Rob Franek, editor-in-chief of The Princeton Review. “Nebraska’s program is exceptionally strong academically, and it maximizes technology that enables students to interact with and learn from faculty and students all over the world.”

In its profile of Nebraska’s online MBA program, The Princeton Review includes comments from students, which praise the program for offering the “perfect balance of reputation, curriculum quality, flexibility... and price," and how professors and staff "understand the challenges facing students and have done a wonderful job of molding their program to fit their needs." They also said group projects are "engaging" as fellow students "come from a huge variety of educational and professional backgrounds," which "makes collaboration very exciting."

MBA@Nebraska’s fully online, mobile-optimized classes are structured the same way so students can start a new class without tech stress. The eight-week courses use the Canvas platform, and classes feature guided video walkthroughs and live group discussions.

According to the Princeton Review, students praise the “well-rounded” curriculum with many elective courses all “structured into 8-week semesters making it easy to focus on one course at a time while working full-time.”

“The Princeton Review ranking is the third prestigious top 20 ranking our MBA@Nebraska program received recently. This speaks to how our online MBA program features a purposeful curriculum with relevant, interactive classes taught by Big Ten faculty who prepare our students to lead the future of business,” said Kathy Farrell, James Jr. and Susan Stuart Endowed Dean and professor of finance.

The application deadlines for the MBA@Nebraska are April 1, July 1 and November 1.
