MBA Graduate Tyrone Fahie Featured in UNL 'Go Big Red' Video Series

College of Business Administration MBA graduate Tyrone Fahie was recently featured in the UNL 'Go Big Red' video spotlight series. Fahie, who also received his undergraduate degree in business administration from CBA, is currently employed at TD Ameritrade in Omaha.

Fahie won an honorary Lott Impact trophy for his efforts on and off the field while playing defensive end as a member of the Nebraska Cornhusker football team. He was one of the few walk-on's to play for the Huskers during his first year on the team.

Fahie followed a non-traditional path to Nebraska by serving in the navy prior to entering college. He performed two tours of service in Iraq as a sergeant, earning the nickname 'Sarge' as a member of the football team.

"My proudest moments were helping the nation and Nebraska remember September 11, and earning both my bachelors and masters degrees," Fahie said. Fahie led a contingent of firemen and police officers on to the field at Memorial stadium during a 9/11 ceremony which was held prior to a Husker football game.

Fahie, who is originally from Virginia Beach, Va., worked at the College of Business Administration as an IT technician while attending school. He also managed the Students in Free Enterprise, SIFE Sales web site, which auctions UNL surplus goods to help recoup costs and support the SIFE student group activities.
