Glow Big Red Offers Chance to Support Business Students, Programs
Glow Big Red, the university's annual 24-hour day of giving, will be held February 15-16 to help raise money for scholarships, programs, faculty and student research and more.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln kicks off their annual 24-hours of giving event called Glow Big Red at noon February 15 and ending at noon February 16. During those hours, students, alumni, faculty, staff and the Husker community come together to support scholarships, colleges and programs, student groups and activities, inclusion, wellness and other important causes.

"Now an honored Husker tradition, Glow Big Red makes a direct impact on the people and programs of the College of Business. It's a great way to give back to a program that helped shape who you are," said Kathy Farrell, James Jr. and Susan Stuart Endowed Dean and professor of finance. "Our Nebraska Business community can build momentum for the event by making an early gift of any size to one of the College of Business funds starting January 17. Many funds have matching gifts or additional donations to unlock based on the number of gifts made."

College of Business supporters can choose from 11 funds to give to during the event. Each impacts students, whether in the form of scholarships, hands-on learning experiences or program development. Gifts totaling $60 or more receive a free Nebraska reversible bucket hat.

"Donations to the College of Business Student Scholarships Fund or to the N Business Start Something Fund provide much-needed general support to college programs, allowing us to meet priority needs and makes a big impact on our students," said Farrell.

This year’s goal is 5,000 gifts across the university to celebrate five years of Glow Big Red, which started in 2019 in recognition of the university's 150th anniversary. Last year, the Nebraska Business community raised $51,200 with 357 gifts.
