“It is humbling to be honored by this amazing group. I am blessed to have a career I am passionate about and while in my third year as Nebraska Council president, the Rising Star Award confirms all the initiatives, workshops, competitions and hard work,” Davidson said. “I am rejuvenated and excited for more.”

The award recognizes someone who is new to Council for Economic Education network who has “hit the ground running” and made extraordinary contributions to economic education programs or services. The recipient must be nominated by someone in the network, who must write a nomination letter and submit two supporting letters of recommendation. The nomination packet then goes to the awards committee, which then votes on the best candidate for the award.

Davidson develops economic and financial literacy programming and curriculum, conducts community outreach, foster strategic partnerships and is an ambassador for economic education in Nebraska and nationwide.

The Nebraska Council on Economic Education supports five centers for economic education throughout the state. The centers work closely and partner with educators in their regions to provide world-class economic and financial literacy education programs to K-12 students in Nebraska.
