The Master of Arts in Business with a Specialization in Intercollegiate Athletics Administration (MAIAA) degree is an on-campus cohort-based program that is the first of its kind. It brings together the academic foundation of Big Ten MBA classes in the College of Business with the national visibility of the respected Nebraska Department of Athletics. Because of its national prominence in both business and athletics, Nebraska is the ideal location for this truly dynamic and unique learning experience in the field of intercollegiate athletics.

Program Mission

To offer students a distinguished Big Ten graduate business degree and practical Nebraska Department of Athletics internship experience in order to begin a fulfilling career in intercollegiate athletics.

The Master of Arts in Business with a Specialization in Intercollegiate Athletics Administration Program draws heavily from the more widely known MBA program. Graduates of the program will have knowledge of general business issues, an understanding of collegiate and professional sports business concerns and an internship work experience in sports administration with the Nebraska Department of Athletics. The program includes 10 courses in addition to the internship for a total of 36 credit hours.
