Douglas Waggoner is the managing director of BlackRock's U.S./Canada Institutional Pensions client team within the Global Client Group. He is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with institutional investors, including public and corporate pension plans and industry consultants.

At BlackRock, Waggoner held several leadership positions within the U.S./Canada Institutional Account Management business. Prior to joining BlackRock in 1995, he was director of Dunedin Fund Managers Ltd., responsible for North American marketing and client service. He joined Dunedin in 1987 and became director in 1992.

From 1981 to 1987, he was manager of pension asset management and operations analysis at Rockwell International Corporation. He began his career at Ford Motor Company in 1977 on the finance staff of the car product development controller's office.

He is a member of the board of trustees of Purchase College Performing Arts Center Foundation in Purchase, New York, and the executive, finance and executive search committees. Waggoner has been active at the Rye Presbyterian Church in Rye, New York, including as a member of the board of trustees and as a member of the finance committee.

He earned a bachelor's degree and a MBA degree in finance and accounting from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
