Students from Nebraska high schools, two-year colleges and four-year colleges compete to win cash prizes in seven categories. Quick Pitch also provides networking opportunities with professional business leaders who have started their own business.

Students should submit a description of their business proposal in 150 words or less at http://cba.unl.edu/quickpitch.

Business partners can also register to serve as judges for the competition at the same site.

Deadline for students and judges is November 6. Early registration is encouraged as the event is limited to 70 competitors and 30 judges. More than 200 students applications were received last year and over 50 business partners registered.

The event is sponsored by Nelnet, Resort Lifestyle Communities, Cameron General Contractors, Hastings HVAC and the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce. Other businesses wishing to sponsor Quick Pitch should contact Rose Graves at rgraves1@unl.edu.
