MBA Student Receives Honorary Lott Impact Trophy

Tyrone Fahie became only the third recipient of an honorary Lott Impact Trophy as he was presented the award by the Pacific Club's IMPACT foundation on December 12, 2010. The trophy honors college football players who exemplify Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity both on and off the playing field. Fahie is currently an MBA student at the UNL College of Business.

Fahie received the award for serving two terms of duty in the Iraq war, as well as competing successfully for a walk-on spot with the University of Nebraska football team as the oldest walk-on (28) in the history of the program.

Only two other people have received an honorary Lott Impact Trophy -- the late Pat Tillman who received the award posthumously in 2004 and Mark Herzlich who earned the award last year after overcoming cancer to play football for Boston College.
