GMAT Strategy Workshop Offered October 19 at the College of Business Administration

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Business Administration will hold a UNL GMAT Strategy Workshop on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This workshop is designed for those interested in learning strategies and approaches for taking the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), which measures verbal, mathematical and analytical writing skills for graduate admission.The UNL GMAT Strategy Workshop will be led by Stephanie Espy, founder and president of MathSP: Strategies and Problem-solving.
 
“We encourage students who are interested in taking the GMAT to not miss this opportunity because after the workshop they will have a plan to conquer the GMAT,” said Kerri Hiatt, MBA adviser and online MBA coordinator. “Stephanie will go through each component of the test, share sample questions and guide you through the answers. She also provides test-taking tips and strategies.”

Those interested in learning more are invited to register for the UNL GMAT Strategy Workshop to jumpstart their GMAT prep at http://mba.unl.edu/gmat by Friday, Oct. 11. The workshop registration fee is $50. This cost includes a take-home GMAT review book used during the workshop and a comprehensive GMAT information packet. The packet includes strategies like study tips, an analysis of each section of the test, timing strategies, specific approaches to challenging question types and a study plan. Participants who attended the last UNL GMAT Strategy Workshop and plan to bring the 13th edition of The Official Guide for GMAT Review book with them, cost is $20.
 
Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. in Room 128 of the College of Business Administration Building and breakfast is included. Registrants are encouraged to park in the parking garage at 11th and Q streets and dress in casual attire. An official score on the GMAT is one of the admissions requirements for the UNL College of Business Administration Master’s of Business Administration program, designed for students with a bachelor’s degree in any field and offers ultimate flexibility with on-campus and distance options.

For those interested in learning more about UNL’s MBA program, an optional MBA Information Session will immediately follow the UNL GMAT Strategy Workshop at 11:45 a.m. The information session is designed to provide an overview of program benefits and curriculum, career advantages, admission requirements, application procedures and more. There is no cost to attend the information session and a light lunch will be provided.
