College of Business alums, faculty, staff and friends come together with Huskers from around the globe for Glow Big Red — 24 Hours of Husker Giving, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln's annual day of giving.

Officially held from noon CST on Feb. 12 to noon CST on Feb. 13, Glow Big Red unites Husker Nation by raising money for critical causes and needs that touch every part of the university, including student scholarships, colleges, programs, student organizations and athletics. College of Business supporters who want to give early can do so as the Glow Big Red website is live.

"Your gifts to the College of Business make a HUGE impact. It provides a scholarship that helps a student realize their college dreams. It supports free tutoring to help students prepare for that big exam or the chance to compete in a national case competition to gain valuable real-world experience. It’s funding for cutting-edge academic programs so our students stand out among others as they create new businesses, drive change and lead the future of business," said Kathy Farrell, James Jr. and Susan Stuart Endowed Dean and professor of finance.

Huskers connected to the College of Business can wear red and stop by the kickoff event on Wednesday, February 12, 12-1 p.m. in the Henrickson Family Atrium. Enjoy hot chocolate, coffee and cookies while celebrating Husker generosity. Giving stations will be available for those who want to give. A group photo will also be taken at 12:25 p.m. sharp to capture all the Husker pride in Howard L. Hawks Hall.

This year’s goal is to receive 5,500 gifts, and supporters can show their Husker hearts in three ways: 

• Give to the College of Business: Make your gift before noon on Feb. 13 and support our students and programs.
• Spread the word: Show your Husker Business pride on social media using the hashtag #GlowBigRed and #NUBiz.
• Earn some swag: Every donor who gives $75 or more will receive a pair of Husker fleece mittens as a thank you gift. 

Last year, the Husker community raised a record-breaking $823,041 to expand opportunities for students. Started in 2019 in recognition of the university’s 150th anniversary, Glow Big Red celebrates its seventh year bringing Huskers together through love and support.
