Bailee Steinle, ’22, a Master of Professional Accountancy student from Salina, Kansas, joined elite company becoming just the eighth student at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln ever to be accepted into the Financial Accounting Foundation Postgraduate Technical Assistant (PTA) program. Only accepting a select few applicants every year, the prestigious program allows recent accounting graduates to play a direct role in the accounting standard-setting process. » Full Article

Nebraska to Confer Record Number of Business Degrees

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln prepares to graduate the record-breaking class of 2023, with more than 3,600 degrees to be conferred on Friday, May 19 for graduate and professional degrees at the Bob Devaney Sports Center and Saturday, May 20 for undergraduates at Memorial Stadium. The College of Business class includes 742 graduates, including 19 undergraduates named as Chancellor’s Scholars for earning an A in all of their collegiate courses. The 19 scholars represent the largest group achieving this honor for the business school in recent history. » Full Article

Using his finance major as a leadership tool, Chad Mariska, ’98, challenged himself by working in leadership at a Fortune 500 company, serving as Oklahoma's Secretary of Commerce and Workforce Development and investing in research at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln to help find a vaccine for the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), which is linked to multiple sclerosis (MS). Mariska recently returned to campus to serve as this year's College of Business Alumni Master and met with students to share his experiences and knowledge. » Full Article
