Rural Prosperity Nebraska at the University of Nebraska (NU) has funded an expanded research team of faculty and students from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Bureau of Business Research (Bureau), the University of Nebraska at Kearney and Nebraska Extension Community Vitality Initiative to create first economic and quality of life benchmarking tool for rural Nebraska.
Dr. Mitch Herian, project director of the Bureau of Business Research, will demonstrate how to use the Interactive Comparison Tool he has developed for this project. There are currently 8 regions and 48 charts available through the online web tool. About the Speakers:
Dr. Mitch Herian is a political scientist with a background in public policy. Since 2007, he has worked both in academic and private settings to provide policy analysis and program evaluation support to government agencies and non-profits. Currently, he serves as project director at the Bureau of Business Research where he helps conduct sponsored research and helps oversee the Bureau Scholars program.
