Online UNL MBA Program Ranked No. 3 in the Big Ten

The online MBA program at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Business Administration ranked third in the Big Ten by U.S. News & World Report. The 2015 report ranked the UNL MBA program as a Best Online Graduate Business Program. Overall, the publication ranked the program in the top 25 nationwide for the third year in a row.

Dr. Donde Plowman, James Jr. and Susan Stuart Endowed Dean of the College of Business Administration, said, “This recognition for our online MBA highlights the outstanding quality of this program. Both our online and our on-campus MBA programs are consistently ranked among the best.”

MBA online and on-campus students receive the same high quality education because the same world-renowned professors teach courses in both formats. The program’s performance in the U.S. News’ rankings demonstrates the results of exceeding the online needs of students.

“The UNL MBA program was one of the first respected programs to launch the online MBA more than a decade ago,” said Nichole MacDonald, associate director of MBA programs. “Today we are a leader in providing students with flexible options to complete their Big Ten MBA in order to advance their careers. Our online program is also popular with military students who find the eight-week sessions provide timely results.”

For the first time since it began ranking online business programs in 2012, U.S. News split its online graduate business rankings into two — one for online MBA programs and one for all other online graduate business programs. For the online MBA standings, U.S. News compared nearly 200 schools on data received in five categories: student engagement, admissions selectivity, peer reputation, faculty credentials and student services and technology.
