New Ethics E-Newsletter Launched at CBA

Witnessing a classmate cheating on a test, deciding whether to use a “discovered” test bank,  or coping with a group member who does not pull their weight on class projects – these are just a few of the possible ethical issues college students may face. The newly formed CBA Student Ethics Board is standing by ready to offer their take on such dilemmas in the new monthly advice e-newsletter called Beyond the Bottom Line. The first issue hit student inboxes in March.

Janice Lawrence, director of the business ethics program and professor of ethics, said “Discussing such dilemmas gives students a chance to practice their ethical decision-making skills and put the CBA ethics code into practice.”

The e-newsletter provides University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Business Administration students with a source of advice when they have dilemmas and also provides a hot line for those who discover academic integrity violations.  Students can submit their ethical questions or concerns by emailing ethicsadvice@unl.edu or placing them into a new Ethics Box located in the first floor atrium outside of CBA 128. All communication remains anonymous.
