MBA@Nebraska Ascends to No. 26 Online MBA in U.S.
The MBA@Nebraska program now ranked No. 26 by U.S. News & World Report.
Leaping 16 spots in the 2019 U.S. News & World Report Best Online MBA Programs rankings, the MBA@Nebraska program at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln now stands as the No. 26 program in the nation. The ranking also places the program No. 19 among public institutions.

“Jumping 16 spots in the U.S. News & World Report ranking exemplifies the investment we have made in our MBA@Nebraska program. Our online MBA program is built on a purposeful curriculum with relevant, interactive classes taught by Big Ten faculty who lead conversations on the future of business,” said Dr. Kathy Farrell, James Jr. and Susan Stuart Endowed Dean of the College of Business. “This ranking completes a trifecta of recognition for us with respected ranking publishers. Last spring, we were named No. 13 in the world by Financial Times and this fall Poets & Quants ranked us No. 8 in the nation.”

U.S. News surveyed more than 300 accredited institutions in the fall of 2018, ranking 285 of them. Their methodology ranked each online program using five categories including engagement (28 percent), student excellence (25 percent), expert opinion (25 percent), faculty credentials and training (11 percent), and student services and technology (11 percent).

With resources like personal career coaches and a 24/7 online résumé review, students in the MBA@Nebraska program have access to some of the best career resources in the world according to Financial Times. Dr. Jake Messersmith, executive director of business graduate programs and associate professor of management, looks forward to the future of the program and Business Graduate Programs’ continued promise to provide top-quality service to graduate students in the College of Business.

U.S. News & World Report evaluated more than 300 programs this year. To be ranked in the top 10 percent of this prestigious group is a testament to the dedication of our student support staff, instructional design team and faculty, who are working to make the MBA@Nebraska a national leader in online graduate business education. We continue to look for ways to offer greater value to our students and alumni and are thankful for their participation in helping build an engaged community that spans from coast to coast,” said Messersmith.
