Event Description

The UNL New Venture Competition is a celebration of entrepreneurial learning and competition. Hosted by the Nebraska Center for Entrepreneurship, this competition is open to UNL undergraduate and graduate students, including those enrolled in the online MBA program. Team composition may vary so long as the lead presenter is currently enrolled at Nebraska or has graduated in Spring 2022 or after. To be eligible for the grand prize, the winning team must feature a student with at least 51% of the venture and also be a registered entity with the State of Nebraska.  

Individuals and teams are highly encouraged to register at the earliest date possible. By registering early, you gain access to numerous and varied resources, tools, mentors, and individualized coaching and plan review sessions designed to help you better address the core criteria used in evaluating plans and competitors. 

First, second, third, and fourth place teams earn $15,000, $12,500, $10,000, and $7,500 respectively, and have the opportunity for further investment up to $25,000 from Husker Venture Fund. Learn more about Husker Venture Fund here: https://go.unl.edu/huskerventurefund
