Event Description

The Bureau of Business Research (BBR) located in the College of Business at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln provides a monthly initiative through the Leading Economic Indicator – Nebraska (LEI-N) reports to measure and project the condition of the state economy. The report uses key economic indicators to help people better understand the factors that play a role in the growth and decline of economic development in the local communities.

In this session, Eric Thompson, Karl H. Nelson Professor of Economics and the director of Nebraska BBR, will review the components of the LEI-N and the system for a weekly release of preliminary LEI-N estimates on the Bureau’s website. He will also discuss the relationship between the preliminary estimates and the final estimate released towards the end of each month.

Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions and share their thoughts during the Q&A session.

There is no cost for this webinar. Please register to receive the webinar link and your online passcode. Last day for registration is October 21, 2021.
