Discover Accounting is a free program designed to provide rising and graduating high school seniors with an overview of the many career opportunities in the accounting profession and a brief introduction of business. No prior accounting or business coursework is necessary. Please note, the program will begin Wednesday evening, June 1.

During the Discover Accounting pre-college program, you will:

• Meet industry professionals and tour their workplaces
• Participate in interactive accounting activities
• Celebrate with your parents/guardians at a reception held by the School of Accountancy 

The program also enables you to:

• Meet college and high school students with similar interests as you
• Experience what it's like to live on campus by staying in a university residence hall
• Learn how to prepare for college, pay for school, engage support and make your future

To become a part of Discover Accounting, you must:

• Complete your junior or senior year in the spring of 2022
• Submit your most recent transcript to jtrucke7@unl.edu by Friday, April 8, 2022
• Have a minimum GPA of at least 3.0
• Submit your application by April 8

Additional dress code information will be included with follow-up prior to the event to help attendees plan for corporate visits.
