UNL economics professor Dr. Carlos Asarta went to Japan to lecture on economic education. He ended up helping document one of the world's worst natural catastrophes in modern times.
Asarta was on the top floor of the 1,000-foot Tokyo Tower when the magnitude 9.0 earthquake struck Japan on March 11. Asarta was able to film a long sequence during the height of the event. The video Asarta shot has had over 50,000 views on UNL's YouTube page alone.
