Learn From The Best In Our Business

We’re Moving to Live Online Short Courses!

CARMA 2024 Summer Short Course Plus Program
Moving from In-Person to Live Online

We are making the switch from our planned in-person Short Course delivery to live online courses to better meet the needs of our community.

This decision was made after discussion with editorial and advisory team members and reviewing current and past registration histories. We apologize for any inconvenience associated with this change in our Short Course delivery approach as we attempt to be responsive to those who want our training, but are not able to travel and take our courses in-person. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we make this transition and ask that you spread the word about this change so that those interested in taking courses online know this option is now available. We are excited to continue our successful tradition of live online delivery that started after COVID-19. Since June 2020 CARMA has offered 100 live online Short Courses with over 1,600 participants. As for now, we plan to continue with the live online format in most cases. We will be trying to offer opportunities to meet our great team of instructors, presenters, and panelists in person in other ways (e.g., events at AOM, SMA, SIOP, and other association conferences).

CARMA Short Courses emphasize hands-on experience and the application of research methods and data analysis skills. Instructors are recognized within organizational studies as experts on topics that cover introductory and advanced quantitative and qualitative methods. These Short Courses are sponsored by the Mike Ilitch School of Business at Wayne State University and will be offered in two sessions: Session I will run from June 10-12; Session II is June 13-15. We have also added new benefits included with course registration. Our new Plus Program includes Research Development Workshops and opportunities for Q&A sessions with CARMA Short Course Instructors, The Best in Our Business.

Webcast Lecture Series

The CARMA Webcast Lecture Series, established in 2004, consists of live one-hour webcast lectures presented annually by nationally recognized methodologists. Save the date for our upcoming lectures using the CARMA Calendar below. For this year’s lectures, Quick Chat interviews with presenters are available. This set of lectures is a great supplemental resource for teaching research methods to doctoral students at Institutional Member schools. And, we have selected a CARMA Classic recorded lecture to serve as a sample for those interested. Access our Quick Chats, Instructor’s Collection, and CARMA Classis using buttons below.
