National Research Corporation Awards Inaugural Scholarship to CBA Students

National Research Corporation (NRC) announced that CBA marketing students Danielle Tucker and Hans Christensen are the recipients of the inaugural NRC Rising Stars Scholarship. In partnership with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus, NRC created the Rising Stars Scholarship to celebrate, reward and encourage students with an interest in business development, marketing and entrepreneurship. Each recipient receives $2,000 to be applied toward their tuition and fees.

Danielle Tucker is a senior marketing and fashion merchandising major from Pierce, Neb. Throughout her collegiate career, Danielle has displayed exceptional leadership inside and outside of the classroom. Most recently, Danielle returned from an internship with Harper’s Bazaar magazine in New York City.

"I am very grateful to have been chosen as the senior recipient of the NRC Rising Stars Scholarship," Tucker said. "The $2,000 scholarship is helping off-set the expenses for a European Study Tour will I will be participating in this summer for Graduate credits."
 
Hans Christensen is a junior marketing and finance honors student from Johnson, Neb. who has focused on improving the lives of others through international travel, philanthropy and leadership on campus. Hans founded the Lumberjack Club, a campus group dedicated to raising funds for the Lincoln Food Bank’s Backpack Program. To date, the club has raised over $10,000.
 
A celebration dinner was held and attended by both recipients, their families, NRC leadership and UNL faculty and staff.
