"Justine Rapp"

Justine Rapp, Marketing Ph.D. Student

Graduate student Justine Rapp has been selected by the Marketing Department faculty to represent UNL at the 2011 American Marketing Association-Sheth Foundation Doctoral Consortium.  Hosting this year’s event is the Oklahoma State University Department of Marketing, Spears School of Business.  The Consortium will be held June 15-19, and will introduce doctoral students to state-of-the-art marketing scholarship and methodology as they prepare to launch their academic careers.  The 40-50 faculty invited to make presentations and interact with students are a veritable "who's who" in marketing.

Established in 1965, the AMA-Sheth Foundation Doctoral Consortium brings together outstanding marketing doctoral students and the premier marketing scholars from around the world. The invitation-only event is the most prestigious gathering of its kind in the world. Organizers expect about 100 of the top marketing professors in the world and 100 of the most promising marketing Ph.D. students to attend.  The Madhuri & Jagdish N. Sheth Foundation made a major commitment to the consortium, partnering with the AMA.

Rapp came to UNL in 2009 after receiving her undergraduate and master's degrees from Villanova University.  Her research interests include consumer behavior, compulsive consumption, advertising and corporate social responsibility.  While continuing her research interests at UNL, Rapp has also served as a graduate instructor including helping teach International Marketing during the spring semester.
