Gentry Receives Reviewer Award from Journal of Public Policy and Marketing

Dr. Jim Gentry, professor of marketing at UNL, received the Best Reviewer of the Year for 2010 for the Journal of Public Policy and Marketing at the 2011 AMA Marketing and Public Policy Conference in Washington DC on June 4.  This conference is the premier national and international event for marketing academics, public policy makers, and marketing practitioners interested in social and public policy.  The conference provides a forum for individuals with a variety of backgrounds to discuss important public policy issues facing consumers throughout the world.

The Journal of Public Policy & Marketing has adopted the noteworthy mission of publishing thoughtful articles on how marketing practice shapes and is shaped by societally important factors such as ecology, safety, health, consumer vulnerability, deregulation, privacy, and the legal and regulatory environment.

Dr. Gentry's expertise in consumer behavior, cross-cultural issues and international consumerism have continued to produce important research results in marketing publications relevant to consumers throughout the world.  Gentry joined the UNL College of Business Administration in 1987.
