Dr. Gentry to Present at Overseas Marketing Conferences this Summer

Dr. Jim Gentry, Maurice J. and Alice Hollman College Professor of marketing at the UNL College of Business Administration, will be attending and presenting at prominent conferences during the summer.
 
Gentry will be presenting “Macromarketing from a very Micro Perspective” at the 37th Annual Macromarketing Conference, June 13-16 in Berlin, Germany. The theme of this year’s conference is Sustainable Development of Markets and Marketing Systems in a Globalized World.
 
Following the Macromarketing conference, Gentry will attend the 2012 Gender, Marketing and Consumer Behaviour Conference, July 2-4 in Queenstown New Zealand and present, “The Golf Course as a Gendered Place: The Role of Interaction Rituals.” This paper is co-authored with Dr. Lee McGinnis, Stonehill College, who received his Ph.D. in marketing from UNL in 2002, and Alex Hein, a recent marketing grad who was also a UCARE student.

Gentry is the graduate chair for the marketing department and has expertise in consumer behavior, cross-cultural issues, family decision making and international consumerism.
